Scenic Montgomery County is home to Ailey, Georgia – which some say is reminiscent of a New England town.
This original one-room jail cell once helped keep the peace, and now it maintains its place on the National Register of Historic Places.
From Vidalia, take Highway 280W to Ailey, turn right on Lee Street, go 2 blocks, turn left on S. Railroad. Jail is on the right across from the Post Office.
