Ever wonder what makes a Vidalia Onion a Vidalia? Visitors to the Research Center will gain insight into vegetable crop plot research. Seasonal onion tours of the Vidalia Onion and Vegetable Research Center are available from late April through mid-June. Other crop research tours are available throughout the year.
Open Monday through Friday, from 8 am until 5 pm; tours are free. On Highway 178, near the Georgia State Prison, about 15 miles south of Lyons.
