Vidalia Onion Fountain

A great stop for a photo!  Located behind City Hall directly in front of the Stage at City Park.

This local landmark made its debut in the Spring of 2015 and was dedicated by former Mayor Ronnie Dixon during the Vidalia Onion Festival.

The 6-foot stainless steel structure was designed and built by local artist and welder, Ruth Williams English.  The onion is located in a 20′ basin designed by Greg Goff, with a center water feature in the onion and 10 individual pumps around it. At night, visitors can be entertained with the multi-colored lights and water that dance to the sounds of music playing in the park.

Park is at the corner of S.W. Main St. and Durden St. or access via alley beside City Hall at 114 Jackson Street, Vidalia
