Vidalia Onion Fountain

A great stop for a photo!  Located behind City Hall directly in front of the Stage at City Park on the corner of Hwy 280 W and Durden Street.

This local landmark made its debut in the Spring of 2015 and was dedicated by Mayor Ronnie Dixon during the Vidalia Onion Festival.

The 6-foot stainless steel structure was designed and built by local artist and welder, Ruth Williams English.  The onion is located in a 20′ basin designed by Greg Goff, with a center water feature in the onion and 10 individual pumps around it. At night, visitors can be entertained with the multi-colored lights and water that dance to the sounds of music playing in the park.
