The second weekend in October, professional bbq teams travel to Lyons to compete in a KCBS sanctioned contest for $20,000 in prize money. Amateur teams compete in downtown Lyons on Friday, where the public is invited to enjoy a street dance along with great bbq, a classic car cruise-in, motot build-off and fireworks.
On Saturday come to Partin Park and watch the professionals compete. Activities include a classic car show, kid’s creative play area, arts and crafts, an Indian artifacts show and dog show. Enter “The Pig Jig” traditional music contest for all ages and levels, join in free music workshops and jam sessions!
